A Comic Twist on the Southwest Open Seating Policy

Video:

The guys from Curtis Needs a Ride really wowed us with their comedic take on the "Travel Tips" video so we asked them to use their stylings to tackle the infamous Open Seating Policy.   As one could imagine, these guys are a thrill to work with and their one-liners kept me laughing all day!

So enjoy this video, aptly titled: "Mackin' Across the Country"

I've seen this four times and it cracks me up every time. Actually, M.A.C. is "everyman." His struggle has roots in the iron age when mankind relied upon the survival of the fittest. In our immediate past, we see his roots in the two, wild and crazy guys looking for American foxes! Of course that was followed by the two big loosers, Tom Hanks and Jon Lovitz, who could only say: ""Here she comes. There she goes."

"Nothing says you fine like a plastic cup of wine."
Yes! I'm using that one on my flight to SAT Friday. Thanks, SWA, for my latest and arguably greatest pick-up line. I'll let you know how it works out for me.

I was told Southwest had tried to get into Chattanooga, Tn., but was turned down because Delta threatened to leave. Is this true? Maybe, now that Volkeswagon is building a Billion dollar plant here, it might be worth looking into the Chattanooga market.

Do you know how boring it is to hear about the oxygen mask, the exits locations, and the flotation device seat? Well, during my flight last week, the flight attendant used two ten year old girls to help him. He held a yellow oxygen mask up in the air. Then asked one of girls using a fast pace, loud voice, as if there was an emergency: "You need oxygen, what do you do?" She started thinking. He continued:"Think fast." She was still thinking. "Come on. You are turning blue." That's when everyone started laughing. And this is only one example of how the Southwest crew make my flights entertaining. Thank you.

That's great! Those guys from Curtis Needs a Ride are hilarious, and very nice. I actually see them quite frequently at the Hideout Theatre in Austin, one of the improv theaters I work and perform at (they drive down from the Dallas/Fort Worth area once a month or so to perform there). What a small world!

This was great. It was funny but also got some key points about the Southwest brand across as well. I’ve never actually flown Southwest however the more I read this blog site the more I want to. I’m planning a honeymoon for next June, I’ll try to fly Southwest for it – just not sure to where yet.
