This episode of Red Belly Radio was recorded in New York City, by Olga and Lindsey, from our Communication Department. They were at the Southwest Porch in Bryant Park celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month and interview Don Rossi, president of Latino Art Beat.

Southwest Airlines is celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month in many ways.  We designed a specialty package for our peanuts, created a special poster for our airports (designed by Dallas artist José Suaste), and will be closing this month of celebration with a special event in New York this Friday.

The root of the Hispanic Heritage Month celebration is the “fiesta de la independencia” or the independence party for seven Latin American countries: El Salvador, Costa Rica, Honduras, Mexico, Nicaragua, Chile, and Guatemala.
