I am a 17 plus year employee of wn. Before coming to wn I worked at Midway Airlines in Chicago. When Midway went out of business and Southwest went into a bidding war with Northwest for the gates at Midway Airport no one at Midway was promised a job, we interviewed and were hired because of our qualifications and the possibility of a good fit with the Southwest culture. (yes that word again) I interviewed and was hired at United also, who would have ever guessed back then how blessed i was to make the decision to go to little Southwest not big United. It is horrible to loose your airline family, (because that is what we all are no matter what airline) but a new family can be just as great if not better. I only hope the good people of Frontier give Southwest the benefit of the doubt , as well as most of the passengers. I dont know how anyone can say they just hate Southwest or any airline, even as employees we dont hate our competition, and we hurt just like they do if there is ever an accident , layoff or loss of any kind.
